**NOTE – Please read the FAQ below regarding adjustment of your ejector before use and ensure you re-assemble with Loctite or similar thread locker to prevent screws from backing out over time.

FAQ:

QUESTION: Do I need to adjust my ejector?

ANSWER: Yes, before firing your new pistol caliber lower we suggest you adjust your ejector. Loosen the two screws holding the ejector in to where it becomes a semi-tight friction fit. Ensure the ejector is seated all the way to the rear and all the way down in the pocket. Close your upper onto the lower with the bolt all the way forward. SLOWLY cycle the bolt in and out about 1/4 of the way back a few times then let the bolt close all the way and tighten the ejector screws. They are cupped to get a good grab on the SS ejector, so only hand tight or you risk the chance of bending the ejector over. Any slight rubbing at this point will wear in the ejector after a few magazines are cycled through the gun. If you see excessive rubbing you can also file down the top corner on theleft side of the ejector(shooters left). At this point you should remove one screw at a time without disturbing the ejector location and add locktite to the screws and tighten them back down. This will ensure the screws will not back out over time.

QUESTION: What type of magazines will fit in this lower?

ANSWER: The lower was designed to fit and drop free factory Glock small frame pistol magazines. It has also been thoroughly tested with Magpul GL17 9mm pistol magazines to fit and drop free. Although it accepts and shoots other aftermarket magazines (Promag, KCI, Kahn, etc) some slight modification may be needed to get them to drop free from this lower because of the varying width measurement we have seen when checking these magazines to Glock factory specifications.

QUESTION: Do you offer a reliable last round / empty magazine bolt hold open (LRBHO) System for this lower?

ANSWER: YES --After watching several companies try and fail to incorporate a RELIABLE last round bolt hold open (LRBHO) system into their lower receivers we decided to take a different approach and will be incorporating our LRBHO technology (PATENT PENDING) in our matching upper receivers. After rigorous testing and hundreds of hours of research and development we feel that this is the best option for LRBHO on a Glock magazine AR style firearm. Our upper will be compatible with other manufacturers lower receiver that either don't have a LRBHO or you can scrap the non-working LRBHO out of your existing AR-9 Glock Mag lower and solve the issue of not having a 100% functioning LRBHO. QUESTION: What bolt carrier group will work with a Glock magazine fed AR-9?

ANSWER: You will need an AR-9 Bolt Carrier Group that has relief cuts to clear the Glock style magazines. The AR-9 BCG that we sell will work in both Glock style AR-9s as well as traditional Colt style AR-9s. We can also modify your Colt style AR-9 BCG for you to work properly with both systems.

QUESTION: What LPK will work with this lower?

ANSWER: Although we sell a specific LPK with just the parts needed to build the C-9 lower receiver HERE, any standard AR-15 LPK will work. You will not need the magazine catch assembly, bolt catch roll pin, or trigger guard that are normally included with standard LPKs.

QUESTION: Do I need to use a special buffer when I build my AR-9?

ANSWER: Although its not technically required, it is advised that you either use a 9mm buffer (longer and heavier than carbine) or a spacer in your buffer tube before you place your spring in. The reason for this is to limit the BCG travel to the rear so it doesn't come back forward and smash the bolt catch hard enough to break it. The 9mm BCG is shorter than a standard BCG. You can use a carbine buffer with a spacer

    C-9 LOWER RECEIVER

Posted by GARY KONIGSMARK on 24th May 2023

I have purchased approximately 10 of these receivers and have Great success building them into fine PCC firearms, some of my customers have also had good fortune with them, these receivers are built sturdy and with the set screws for the bolt catch and rear take-down pin they are super...

The New Frontier AR9 lower is first class. The fit and finish is outstanding in all respects. All my AR parts fit perfectly. I did have to trim the rear take-down spring a bit, BUT that was explained and expected because of the set screw included to hold the detent and spring in which is a nice feature. I bought this New Frontier AR9 lower because Palmetto State was out of their AR9 Glock Lowers. Man, am I glad PSA was out at the time! I got a PSA AR9 Lower later to build an AR9 for a friend. the New Frontier is head and shoulders above the PSA AR9 Lower.

I recently built a 9mm AR using the New Frontier Armory C-9 Lower, New Frontier Armory barrel, PSA 9mm bolt, PSA LPK with QMS trigger, Anderson sporter upper, and an ALG Defense M-Lok rail system. I had the PSA bolt modified for Glock magazines by New Frontier Armory. The C-9 lower was well made and finished. Everything fit easily into the lower. These are excellent lowers and they accept Glock magazines. The lower does not have a LRBHO. I have put 250 rounds of Winchester white box 9mm 115 grain through it with absolutely no problems. I have only used factory G18 and G17 magazines in it so far. This rifle is a blast to shoot.

I just received one of these. It is a piece of industrial art. After handling many Anderson lowers (which are quite fine for their intended us....a cheap AR), this is one serious chunk of fully-machined serious business. I have not matched it with an upper. Have to wait until the money boss appropriates the fun funds. Get one of these and your first words will be "Wow."

I purchase a New Frontier Armory C-9 lower that was made for Joe Bob Outfitters and I got to say that this is quite possibly one of the best lowers on the market. The machining and design are awesome and sexy. There are no roll pins to worry about because everything is threaded, the bolt catch, the ejector assembly, the rear takedown pin detent and spring, and the magazine release. This accepts any size Glock mag and the mag drops freely and easily. This is just a beautiful lower and for the price, it is a must buy for a Glock fan. The "other" Glock AR9 lower manufacturers are selling there Glock lowers at about $100.00 to $150.00 more and are, in my opinion, not nearly as cool looking or well built. I have another Glock lower to compare this too. I bought it stripped for $275.00!!! Massive amounts of roll pins and the LRBHO is unreliable. I am anxious waiting to mate this lower with the C-9 Lower with proprietary LRBHO. This lower accepted my LPK very nicely and the 9mm upper I use with my other Glock lower mated up nice and snug to the NFA lower with no slop or gaps. A truly amazing lower and I hope that once the word gets out it stays affordable!! I recommend using the modular AR9 bolt with this build but be aware that you may have to take a little bit of material off of the top of the ejector for the bolt to work properly. Once you do that it is smooth as butter. I really can't say enough good things about this lower. Do yourself a favor and buy this thing!!
