- Weight: 0.05 lbs
New Frontier Armory's M-16 Drilling Jig is made for properly aligning and drilling the third hole for a full auto sear in an AR-15 style lower receiver. The drill hole is reinforced with a steel drill bushing to prevent wear and be able to use the jig over and over without any issues with tolerance. The jig and pins are made to exact tolerances. Be sure of proper fitment in your lower by reaming the rear take down pin hole to .250 and the safety selector hole to .375 which will ensure an accurate drilling of the 3rd hole.
We recommend fixturing and leveling the work piece horizontally in a vertical mill or drill press to ensure a straight hole through the lower.
M-16 Lower Parts Kits are also available and can be purchased here.

Works great!!!
Works perfectly! Only downside is you can only use it on one side of the lower. If the pins were held in with a detent like take down pins and were able to be pushed in so they protrude from the other side but stop when the other side is flush.....THAT would make this 10x better!!!!

M-16 jig
The jig is good quality but the price could be lower. It’s very small with a couple of pressed in metal rods for lining up. I have had no issues with making the hole needed.

.125 Drill Jig
I wasn't very happy with the drilling both holes from the one side. since the drill guide hole is larger on backside the only way to drill the hole correctly is with a drill press. So what I did was remove the metal dowels (since the 3/8" dowel did not fit in the selector switch hole anyway) and used the actual drill I drilled the selector switch hole with originally, and a 1/4 inch drill bit for the takedown hole and did that for both sides. Worked perfectly that way.
